Keeping Busy in the Final Days!!

It is hard to believe that there are only 12 more days of school!!  I know I keep forgetting how little time we have left because we are oh, so BUSY!!

The students of Room 5 have been hard at work researching facts about Japan.  Next week is our International Vacation.  Room 5 will be transformed into the Land of the Rising Sun for the week of May 25th.  We will be stamping passports as visitors from around the school come to learn a little about Japan.  Our class will also get to tour the world to visit some exciting countries, as well!

                                                         

         

We have also begun our Author Study on Mem Fox.  Ms. Fox is an author from Australia who writes a wide variety of children's books.  We will be reading and discussing many of her rich texts.  The students will write some responses, make some comparisons and retell some of their favorite Fox stories.  Click HERE to visit the Mem Fox website for some interesting facts and fun activities!!

Please remember that we are still working hard and covering important pieces of information!! I know we are all ready for summer, but we are still using our instructional time very wisely!!
