We just love having Mrs. Severson bring in the beautiful artwork to share with us. This week Room 5 learned about a few of Vincent Van Gogh's masterpieces. Several students recognized the ever-popular "Starry Night". One of my favorites is the "Cafe Terrace at Night".
Did you know that Van Gogh stuck candles in his hat so that he could easily see his subjects at night? There were no flashlights in the time he created his artwork. That's just one of the awesome art facts we learned Monday!
